"Second chance at life?" Harry repeated the words curiously.
"Yes," Will replied with a grateful smile. "I... uh, I share the same little problem as Remus—"
He grinned, revealing his sharp teeth.
The group immediately understood—Will is also a werewolf.
"Because of this, it was really hard for me to find a job. I almost starved to death... Later, Remus contacted us. He had earned some money and decided to sponsor us with Wolfsbane Potion, helping us reintegrate into normal society."
Will spoke with heartfelt gratitude and then turned to Wade, saying, "And because Mr. Grey gave Remus a job, we indirectly received help. That's why I said—you're the benefactor who gave me a second chance at life."
Wade shook his head. "The person who helped you wasn't me; it was Remus. I don't interfere with how he spends his salary."
Seeing that Will wasn't swayed by his modesty, Wade paused and then asked, "Just now, you mentioned… 'we'?"
"Yes, besides Will, there are a few other law-abiding werewolves who struggle to make a living," Lupin explained. "But the only one hired by Aslan Magical Workshop is Will."
"Remus taught me a few spells in the past, not many, but I've mastered the Duplication Charm," Will said happily. "Because of that, I got the job opportunity."
"Congratulations," Wade said with a nod. "But we'd like to check out the workshop store now."
"Of course, of course… Ah, this way..."
Will set aside his work and led the group through the workspace. He pushed open a tall door, and a cacophony of noise instantly enveloped them.
As Harry stepped inside, he was greeted by the sight of a massive, familiar face contorted into a fierce expression.
It took him a moment to realize—it is my face!
Startled, he instinctively stepped back, but Sirius strode forward, stared at the screen and asked, "What is this?"
A nearby staff member immediately approached with a warm smile and explained, "This is the latest product from the Magical Workshop, a new invention by the brilliant alchemist Wade Grey—the Streaming Mirror! You can think of it as the magical world's television..."
"I know," Sirius said, glancing back at the group. "I'm asking… when did this happen?"
The crowded store suddenly let out a collective gasp. Some people instinctively closed their eyes and screamed, "Watch out!"
On the enormous screen suspended in midair, a basilisk with its gaping maw lunged menacingly toward Harry.
"Oh, that was from before… when a bunch of us students challenged the basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets," Harry said, confused. "I've told you about it."
Sirius stared at the screen and spoke softly, "But I didn't know it was this dangerous… I thought… I thought it was like the time you dealt with the python..."
On the screen, Harry, covered in blood, picked up the basilisk fang from the ground, and looked for an opportunity to strike. Meanwhile, injured students were being flung aside by the basilisk's massive tail.
Sirius gently placed his hand on Harry's head, and said with a voice filled with concern. "It must have hurt a lot when you got injured, didn't it?"
Harry felt a slight pang in his heart, and for some reason, his nose started to sting. Trying to mask his emotions, he rubbed his nose and exaggerated his tone, saying:
"Haha… Honestly, I was so nervous back then that I didn't feel a thing… Wade, how did you even manage to record this?"
"It was such an extraordinary scene," Wade said, smiling. "Perfect for promoting my new product. I was a little worried that Dumbledore wouldn't approve. After all, the basilisk is one of Hogwarts' secrets, hidden for a thousand years."
"Ah! So that's why you stayed behind that day—to talk to the Headmaster about this?"
Harry suddenly pieced it together and exclaimed angrily, "If I had known, I would've stopped you from staying!"
"Why?" Wade asked, puzzled. "What's the harm in others seeing that you even managed to defeat a basilisk?"
"Plenty!" Harry said through gritted teeth. "I'm already sick of all the attention from my fame!"
Perhaps their conversation was a bit too loud, as one of the spectators turned around, froze for a moment, and then shouted, "Harry Potter! You're Harry Potter!"
Countless eyes turned toward Harry at once. He instinctively tried to make a quick exit, but it was too late.
Moments earlier, the crowd had been captivated by the screen, watching the young savior battling the basilisk, bloodied and scarred. Their concern and admiration had peaked, leaving them wishing they could leap into the screen to fight alongside him.
And now, turning around to find the hero himself standing right behind them?
The crowd surged toward him like a wave.
Sirius and Lupin quickly spread their arms to shield the boy from being crushed or trampled. Even the Magical Workshop staff rushed over in a panic to maintain order.
But the crowd turned out to be far more friendly than expected. They merely surrounded Harry, eager to express their emotions—
"Mr. Potter, how's your injury?"
"Mr. Potter, can I shake your hand?"
"Mr. Potter, your bravery is truly inspiring. I've wanted to meet you for so long…"
Amid the buzzing noise, Wade quietly slipped out of the crowd, unnoticed. The gap he left was immediately filled by other spectators.
As Wade made his way out, someone grabbed his arm. Looking up, he saw it was Marchionne.
"I heard you'd arrived at the workshop, so I came to take a look. I didn't expect to witness this," Marchionne said, grinning. As he led Wade toward the lounge upstairs, he teased, "Regretting it now?"
"Regret what?"
Wade asked, casually smoothing out the wrinkles on his clothes caused by the crowd.
"Regret giving up the chance to be famous—soon, people will admire Harry Potter even more than they adored Lockhart last year. Seeing how popular he is, don't you feel any regret?"
Marchionne chuckled but seemed slightly serious as he spoke:
"Don't argue... I know if you wanted to, you could have defeated that basilisk too—even though it was truly terrifying."
"I don't need to," Wade replied. "Or rather—I hate being that famous. Things are perfect the way they are now."
"Hmm…" Marchionne glanced thoughtfully at Harry, who was surrounded by the crowd and his eyes were losing their sparkle. "Your classmate doesn't seem to enjoy fame much either."
"He's different," Wade said. "He's been a savior since he was in swaddling clothes. Defeating the basilisk? That's nothing. His greatest achievement is defeating the Dark Lord."
"But before, the title of 'Savior' was always something others imposed on him. That's why he was constantly scrutinized and doubted. But the basilisk? That was something he defeated with his own strength. It's a true reflection of his capabilities."
Marchionne smiled. "It seems you two are really close."
"Yeah…"
Wade murmured in response, and his gaze drifted through the transparent railing. He saw Will arranging merchandise in the shop below.
In a quiet corner, a frail-looking girl stood with her back to the crowd. She tugged at Will's sleeve and spoke anxiously about something.
