They snapped photos, a lot of them.
A young reporter pushed forward.
"Mr. Andrews, is it true your daughter collapsed in the office?"
Another chimed in, flipping through notes.
"Is it linked to the financial investigation happening at her company?"
Olivia's father blinked, stunned. Investigation? He hadn't heard a word about that. All he knew was that his daughter had called him in distress, and now she was unconscious in a hospital room.
He tried to steady himself, amid the chaos and questions.
"Sir, is she conscious? Will she be stepping down as CEO?"
The questions grew louder, more invasive, until he finally raised his hand, gesturing for them to stop.
His voice cracked slightly as he spoke, "Please… not now."
And they started to trail back.
Some reporters lowered their microphones. Others exchanged glances. The camera's stopped shuttering.
