Jianye Prefecture City, original site of Pingtian Gate.
A six-zhang high, five-zhang wide ordinary temple with yellow outer walls quietly stood in the very center of the prefecture city. Above the main entrance of the temple hung a plaque that read "Leiyin Temple." Anyone looking at it would find it hard to believe that such a simple small temple was the residence of the revered Chan Sect's quasi-Holy Land, Leiyin Temple.
Just after midnight, an elderly monk clad in a purple kasaya rushed over from afar, quickly knelt at the temple's entrance, his face full of anxiety:
"Buddha, World-Honored One, it's not good, my formation has been broken, from the direction of Xingnan Prefecture!"
