Inside Noah's car, Meira was sitting quietly, sometimes just looking at her own fiddling fingers and sometimes looking outside the car.
After a while, Noah broke the silence, "Ms. Meira, I will be coming to the university next week."
She looked at him, worried, "Any issues with my admission or studies?"
He shook his head, his focus on the road. "There's a meeting for parents and guardians called by the university. As I am your guardian, I'm invited as well."
"I'm sorry to be a bother," she said, as she thought about something, "I know you are more busy now, Mr Noah. I will ask my brother to change the guardianship to—"
"It's not a bother," Noah interrupted as as he finally looked at her, his tone calm.
As their eyes met, she froze for a while, unable to say what she was about to say.
