Combat spaceships can launch dozens of missiles at will, with dense firing from particle beam cannons, laser cannons, and railguns, something crystal jets can't even compare to.
In reality, it's almost impossible for crystal jets to face off against combat spaceships alone, as if all our numerous sea, land, and air combat units are just sitting idle. What about our allies? Firepower support? Long-range and close-range stereo attacks? Letting a combat spaceship erupting blue flames into our midst, do they not want NMD (double entendre, you know) anymore?
There's plenty of fish in the sea; don't single out one flower. Crystal jets don't need to give combat spaceships a chance to showcase their firepower advantage. Launching sneak attacks, swift assaults, and hitting-and-running are what one should do.
But in simulation combat, Chen Fei's opponent was forced to play doggedly, otherwise, why fly far away? To slack off? The situation is instead disadvantageous for crystal jets.
