When the hover car landed at the hospital, Yang jumped out of the door and ran into the hospital. Akimitsu and Ellery quickly followed.
Edros and Juniper were a bit slower because they needed to park the hover car. Thankfully, Akimitsu made sure to update them on Yang's little sister's hospital room.
Yang's little sister, Yang Eunseo, was lying in her MedTube, lifeless. Her vital signs flatlined right before Yang arrived. It was like she was waiting for the moment that she would be alone, knowing that her brother would be okay without her.
Earlier, Yang had told Eunseo that he was going to hang out with his friends from the academy. Under her encouragement, he talked about his friends, especially Ellery, who had saved his life.
It had been a long time since Eunseo had seen him excited, even if his facial expressions were subtle.
She knew that her older brother was happy, which made her relieved.
"Eunseo!" Yang rushed over to her MedTube, hoping that it was all a lie that she was dead. But seeing her peaceful expression, one without pain, made his heart ache.
Eunseo was finally not in pain, but he wanted to say goodbye to her. Why did she go without him? Why?
Yang felt a strange stir of spiritual power in his body, something he had never felt before. All of the emotions he had bundled up from his parents dying, to waiting for his sister to pass. Everything became overwhelming, like the weight of the world on his shoulders, and he needed to struggle or he would get crushed.
He had many grievances. Why him? Why his family? What did they do to deserve all of this heartache and suffering?
It wasn't fair!
Loud alarms and a red flashing light in the building went off while a swirl of spiritual energy began to crackle around Yang. He clenched at his shirt, trying to control the negative emotions that rushed forward, but he could not control himself any longer.
Under intense negative emotions, Yang was stimulated to awaken as an S-ranked sentinel, but if he could not get under control, his new and vulnerable spiritual sea would become corrupted. If he's not treated in time, he could explode and destroy the entire hospital building.
A blank jaguar emerged from Yang's spiritual sea, roaring in agony. As for Yang's body, features of the jaguar appeared on his body, and it was rapidly spreading.
Akimitsu jumped in front of Ellery to protect him from the deadly spiritual energy that was trying to destroy everything around them. Silve, who was behind Ellery, held on tightly, afraid to be flung back by the intense spiritual energy.
Silve, who has never had a strong connection with a sentinel, saw his little hamster quantum beast pop out uncontrollably, but because he was too weak, they could not withstand the chaotic S-ranked spiritual energy Yang had.
"Yang!" Ellery, while holding on to Akimitsu, quickly put up a protective shield made of his spiritual energy around the room to keep the energy contained. He then put a shield around the MedTube Eunseo was lying in.
He knew that when Yang woke up, he would be devastated if he accidentally destroyed her body.
Ellery knew that he and Juniper were the only ones at the hospital who would be able to help Yang. He just hoped that one of them had a high compatibility with Yang so they could calm him down.
With the protective shield around Eunseo and her MedTube, Yang could not reach her, which prompted him to angrily pound on the shield, trying to free her.
He didn't say anything, but methodically pounded his fist into one area on the shield, trying to destroy it with force.
Ellery and Juniper practiced their defensive moves for a long time, so his shield was solid and could not be broken, but that didn't mean he could continue to waste his spiritual energy trying to keep two shields up.
Dusky and Sol tried to approach the black jaguar, but could not get close. The jaguar did not hurt Sol, but it tried to kill Dusky, who got too close. Dusky didn't want to leave Sol, though, so the two were at a stalemate.
"Akimitsu, you need to call Dusky back…" Ellery said while looking at the black Jaguar that was trying to protect Yang and Eunseo. "He sees Dusky as a threat, so Sol can't get close. As long as Sol can get close, I will be able to enter his spiritual sea."
"But…" Akimitsu and Dusky felt the same. They didn't want to leave Sol alone with the black jaguar, who could hurt him.
"I will be fine. I know how to protect Sol. We just need to help calm them down until Juniper gets here…"
With Juniper, if his compatibility was higher, they could switch places and vice versa. It didn't have to be super high, like with Edros and Akimitsu, but it needed to be high enough to calm Yang down.
Seeing Ellery's resolute demeanor, he knew that he could only listen to Ellery and pull Dusky back.
Dusky reluctantly went back to Akimitsu, but was ready to tackle the black jaguar if it tried to hurt Sol!
Sol slowly approached the black jaguar, which was growing more defensive. It wasn't aggressive; it was just trying to protect Yang, who was still banging on the energy shield.
The black jaguar did not move when Sol approached, but there was not much of a connection. Even if Yang was familiar with Ellery, because their compatibility was not high enough, the black jaguar did not want Sol to come near Yang's spiritual sea.
"Tsk, I figured we were not compatible…" Ellery could also feel it. The connection between the two of them was so low that Ellery wanted to vomit.
Ellery called Sol back to him so he could stay near Dusky.
"Then let's hold on until Juniper and Edros come. Maybe Juniper will have better luck." Akimitsu said after directing medical personnel past the room.
Many of the patients on this floor were terminally ill and needed around-the-clock care. Thankfully, Ellery was there to protect everyone so the doctors and nurses could continue to do their work.
They could only watch Yang slam his bloody fists into Ellery's shield. Tears rolled down his face, but he didn't scream or shout. He just wanted to free his little sister. He wanted to hug her one last time.
He was desperate. He knew that he was dying too. The chaotic energy was attacking his spiritual sea, trying to consume him. That was why he wanted to hug his sister one last time.
"Eunseo… Why did you leave without telling me?" His voice was soft but contained a lot of pain.
It reminded him of the time when he lost his parents. Why did everyone he loved leave him?
"Sorry, we are late," Edros said while holding Juniper's hand.
Juniper couldn't walk as fast as Edros, so he let Edros drag him to the hospital room.
They already knew what was going on, so Juniper didn't waste any time. The moment he entered the hospital room, Lune jumped out on its own, showing that he and Yang had high compatibility.
The compatibility wasn't as high as with Edros, but it was just enough to help calm Yang's spiritual sea while he was going berserk.
Lune slowly approached the black jaguar without any resistance. He raised his paw and pushed the jaguar's head down so they could lie on the ground together.
With the connection between the two quantum beasts, Juniper was able to approach Yang without being influenced by the chaotic spiritual energy.
"Yang," Juniper put his hand on his shoulder and guided him to the chair next to the MedTube. "Your sister is safe, so close your eyes and let me help you."
There was only one chair in the room, so he could only stand next to Yang.
Yang wanted to resist, but when he heard Juniper's soft voice, he couldn't help but relax.
Since it was Yang's first time being guided, Juniper needed to help him through it. "Now close your eyes and take a deep breath. Follow your quantum beast to your spiritual sea. You will see many clouds filled with red energy. Let me know when you are there."
"I am there… Is this red energy dangerous?"
"It is, so don't touch it. Now that you are in your spiritual sea, I am going to open up a door to your spiritual sea. You have to think of giving me permission to enter. Don't resist."
Juniper felt like a vampire who knocked on the door to someone's house, waiting for permission to come in.
Yang did as he was told and didn't resist Juniper's energy in his spiritual sea. Once Juniper entered, Yang witnessed his first spiritual experience.

With Yang in Juniper's spiritual experience, the chaotic spiritual energy that was swirling around the room finally died down. Ellery was able to disperse the shields.
Ellery sighed in relief. "Thankfully, my spiritual sea is large or I would not have lasted long…" He only lost 35% of his energy.
Edros gently closed the door to the hospital room and stood guard. He didn't say a word, but he was worried.
When doing this guide technique, they needed to make sure the Guide was not disturbed, or it could injure both parties.
"Let's hope it doesn't take Juniper too long…" Akimitsu sighed while going to the nurse's station to give an update on the situation.
