Chapter 289 - Chapter 289

"Tang Hao?"

"Why is it always Tang Hao?"

"Did Tang Hao cause trouble again?"

The disciples of the Clear Sky Clan erupted into a flurry of confusion, hurling questions at Ye Feng.

"Tang Hao's right there. Ask him yourselves."

Ye Feng pointed at Tang Hao, who was currently bound by a rope, floating mid-air like a helpless kite.

"Brother Hao!"

A middle-aged man finally noticed Tang Hao dangling above them. He had a tall, sturdy build and bore a strong resemblance to Tang Hao.

"Tang Hao, what did you do this time?" a red-haired man shouted.

"Seventh Elder, why are you blaming Brother Hao again? The other party clearly came looking for trouble with the Clear Sky Clan. He would've found an excuse regardless," Tang Xiao said, continuing to shield Tang Hao from blame.

Tang Xiao's defense made Tang Hao's expression tighten.

In Tang Hao's heart, only three things mattered: Ah Yin, Tang San, and the Clear Sky Clan.

His decision to let Ah Yin use her spirit ring and spirit bone to heal him led to her being exposed. That mistake haunted him for a lifetime. Before he could even repent, Qian Xunji discovered their location, forcing Ah Yin to sacrifice herself.

In the end, Tang Hao's greed and selfishness brought disaster upon the Clear Sky Clan, drawing the wrath of Spirit Hall upon them.

Because of this, Tang Hao carried immense guilt. He never absorbed the remaining spirit bone given by the sect, feeling unworthy.

Now, seeing Tang Xiao standing up for him again, his heart grew heavier with remorse. After all, it was his impulsive actions that led to the deaths of Ye Feng's parents and the near destruction of the Clear Sky Clan.

"Speak, Tang Hao! What kind of mess did you cause this time?!"

The Seventh Elder yelled in fury.

Tang Hao lowered his head, his eyes half-closed. He said nothing, silently accepting the shame. He didn't dare to look at any of the disciples around him.

"If he won't say it, then I will."

Bibi Dong stepped forward, cutting through the tension. "Do you all remember the battle between the previous Pope and Tang Hao?"

"That battle?"

The Second Elder frowned. "Because of that fight, our Clear Sky Clan went into seclusion and expelled Tang Hao from the sect. Isn't that enough?"

Bibi Dong shook her head. "Don't misunderstand. That's a separate matter. Before the battle, Tang Hao sought out Ye Feng's parents. Ye Feng's mother is a Spirit Douluo with the Nine-Hearted Begonia martial spirit. Tang Hao asked her to heal him and the injured Ah Yin. She agreed and treated them.

"Later, the previous Pope found Tang Hao, leading to their clash. Afterward, Ye Feng's parents returned. But Tang Hao, suspecting they had revealed his location, killed them in cold blood.

"In truth, the one who leaked his location was your previous sect leader—your eldest brother. He did it to corner Tang Hao, pushing him to claim a 100,000-year spirit ring."

"What?!"

"My elder brother was involved all along?"

"No wonder… I always wondered how a Titled Douluo could die so suddenly. It must've been guilt."

Bibi Dong's words caused an uproar among the Clear Sky Clan disciples. For years, they had believed Tang Hao alone was responsible for the sect's decline. None of them imagined their former leader had played a part.

The Second Elder, with his seasoned wisdom, quickly seized the opportunity to shift the clans position.

"Bibi Dong, Ye Feng, as you can see, this was all orchestrated by the former Clan Master and Tang Hao. The rest of us were completely unaware. As for Tang Hao… you may do as you wish. We of the Clear Sky Clan will not stand in your way."

"That's it?"

Ye Feng scoffed.

The elders felt helpless. They knew full well the terrifying gap in power. Ye Feng and Bibi Dong had both ascended to godhood. Even an Extreme Douluo couldn't match them, let alone an ordinary elder.

The elders exchanged glances, and finally, the Second Elder sighed.

"In addition… we'll leave the body of the former clan leader to you. Do as you see fit."

This was no small concession. The previous leader represented the dignity of the Clear Sky Clan. Handing over his body was the same as surrendering their pride.

If they had any other choice, they would never agree to such humiliation. But at this point, they had none.

"I heard you like beautiful women," the Second Elder added, taking a deep breath. "We have many in the Clear Sky Clan, including Tang Yuehua. You can choose anyone you like."

Ye Feng's lips curled into a mocking smile.

"How about it? Tang Yuehua is renowned for her beauty—no less than Bibi Dong. As the master of Yuexuan, her elegance and charm are second to none. She could be… a companion by your side, perhaps?"

With those shameless words, the Second Elder abandoned all dignity. He was willing to say anything to save the clan.

"Not enough," Ye Feng replied calmly.

"If that's not enough, then from this day forward, we will disband the Clear Sky Clan. We'll erase its name from the spirit master world."

The Second Elder's voice trembled, but he said it. A line he thought he'd never cross.

"Second Elder!"

"Brother!"

"Is that really necessary?!"

The disciples around them were all stunned by his declaration.

"Now? Are you satisfied?" the Second Elder asked weakly.

Ye Feng shook his head again. "Still not enough."

"What more do you want?!"

The Second Elder's patience finally snapped.

Ye Feng's voice was cold. "I want every single one of you to curse Tang Hao. I want to hear you curse him. Maybe if I enjoy it enough, I'll consider your request."

"What?!"

Tang Xiao immediately flared with anger.

But Ye Feng just tugged on the string in his hand, dragging Tang Hao forward in front of the disciples.

Tang Hao opened his eyes briefly, touched by Tang Xiao's reaction. But as a man who had committed grave sins, he closed them again in silence.

"Tang Hao! How long are you going to keep dragging us down?!"

One of the disciples snapped, erupting with rage. He shouted at Tang Hao and even spat at him.

One curse led to another.

Faced with the collective hatred of the Clear Sky Clan disciples, Tang Hao didn't retaliate. He endured every word, every insult, every glob of spit—quiet and still.

Finally, it was Tang Xiao's turn.

He paused, his heart heavy, but still forced himself to curse his brother—though his voice was clearly insincere.

"Well? Are you satisfied now?" the Second Elder asked once more.

"No," Ye Feng replied coldly.

"You're toying with us?!"

"Of course I am," Ye Feng laughed. "I said I'd consider your offer. I never said I'd agree. I did all of this for one reason only—revenge against Tang Hao."

He smirked, eyes gleaming.

"When your strength reaches my level… you can do whatever you want too."
