[Chapter Size: 2100 Words.]
Third Person POV
Hogwarts.
...
...
Snape was finishing his book when he felt the presence of a house-elf appearing in the Chamber of Secrets, outside Salazar's room.
Immediately, he ran to the door where Snape was reading some books under the gaze of Salazar's portrait.
"Master Snape! Master Snape!" Dobby shouted, breathless from the other side.
The portrait itself, with a command, opened the door as the elf emerged, with Salazar's painting merely watching in silence as the house-elf ran to Snape.
"A letter! It came urgently! It's urgent!" Dobby repeated, agitated, as he extended the envelope.
Snape narrowed his eyes when he saw it was from Steve Vujin. But he opened it and began to read.
'I know you are a bit cautious and hindered in your services right now, but there is something I must inform you. Something that is happening at this very moment...'
The letter continued. Snape's eyes widened in surprise as he read the contents, which confirmed Voldemort's attack in person with his group, against an entire city in the northwest of England.
"Damn..." he muttered.
He didn't think twice and decided to act, wondering why the Black family hadn't informed him about this. So he would have to leave, even in a rush.
It was then that the Phoenix reappeared above him, and in an instant, Snape vanished in black flames, leaving Dobby and a confused Salazar behind.
He reappeared in a corner of England. It was the closest place to where the attack was happening that his phoenix could reach. He was in the middle of a highway, with cars occasionally passing by, which made him frown.
He was at least 100 km from the city. Quickly, he began to see police cars passing with sirens, all heading in the same direction.
Snape quickly opened his system and increased a massive amount of points he had been accumulating with training and level-ups in the past week — all into speed, raising dozens of points at once.
"I'll have to run there," he murmured, as a cloak began to cover his body to conceal his identity.
At that moment, a distortion appeared in a corner where no one on the highway could see. He summoned Kargalgan, the Shadow of the Orc Shaman.
"Can you boost my physical stats a bit?" he asked.
The shadow responded quickly, casting its magic. A circle formed above Snape, granting him enhanced physical abilities. He felt his body immediately gain strength.
"This is good," he murmured, looking at the map, searching for the straightest possible path. He needed to avoid main roads, as the police, firefighters, and paramedics were already advancing full force after the city's emergency calls.
Snape then dissolved his shadow into the ground, which returned to his feet. He then leaned in that direction, while the ground itself began to tremble and crack with the pressure he was putting on it, before he shot forward in a magical burst, running directly into the forest beside the highway. His speed was so great that the wind split around him, creating a violent trail.
It didn't matter what was in front, he would simply go through it. This was also a way to avoid alerting the Ministry of Magic, which was surely monitoring the skies with their brooms.
The entire forest shattered as he ran at over 200 km/h. The impact of his steps crushed everything beneath as he broke every tree in his path, and the wind howled in his wake. Without slowing down, rocks and trees ahead of him simply exploded from his own body.
There were people hunting in the forest who, surprised, saw something approaching at incredibly high speed.
They swallowed hard, incredulous at the trail of destruction left by Snape.
Snape exited the forest and crossed another part of the highway, startling some cars as he burst out from one side of the woods, crossing to the other side in milliseconds, breaking everything as he moved forward — with Snape determined to arrive as quickly as possible.
The cars immediately skidded, stopping abruptly. People stepped out of them, stunned and somewhat fearful, as it looked to them like some sort of monster. Some had already begun calling the police in desperation.
Snape kept running. More than twenty-five minutes had already passed since he began his run, when he started to see, in the distance, a certain darkness along with lights on the horizon.
The city was in sight. He would arrive there in five minutes, continuing to break through everything in his path and noticing several cars in the distance.
"We cannot allow you to enter! This is a very dangerous matter!" — shouted several wizards who were stopping all officials trying to approach the city.
The Ministry of Magic had been called immediately to try to contain the situation, while the battle began to unfold throughout the city.
"Let us through! Who are you people?" — a police officer shouted, pointing a pistol at the wizards.
Before he could shoot, he was hit squarely by a spell cast from one of the wands. Quickly, other officers began to open fire on the wizards, while some civilians hid in terror. The wizards raised shields to protect themselves from the bullets and, soon after, began casting spells that affected the minds of the Muggles.
"We are handling the situation. You can do nothing here!" — the wizards shouted authoritatively.
The officers, now under mind control spells, nodded and began blocking any other official vehicles from approaching while the wizards erased the memories of the terrified Muggles who had witnessed the situation.
The army was arriving at that moment, but it was of no use with the difference between magic and non-magic, as the enemies were Death Eaters. Hundreds of officers had already died even before the auror wizards reached the city.
Meanwhile, in another part of the country, the Minister of Magic was already in the same room as the British Prime Minister, trying to control the situation.
"Are you telling me an entire city is being attacked by dark wizards?!" — the Prime Minister exclaimed, incredulously, addressing the Minister of Magic directly.
The minister took a deep breath and tried to stay calm. The Prime Minister, like the ones before him, knew about the magical world, since it was a key position to maintain the balance between the wizarding and the Muggle worlds.
"I apologize for this, but we will have to deal with the situation ourselves," said the Minister of Magic, while simultaneously sending orders to mobilize all her forces. The news of the attack had arrived twenty minutes after it began, and now, the wizarding world was moving in response.
"You think I'm going to let this happen? I'm already in contact with the army! All forces are heading to the city." — the Prime Minister shot back, furious.
"You've been talking about this threat for years, but no one did anything. Now they're attacking our cities. We can't allow this!"
"This caught us by surprise as well, Prime Minister. But only we can take care of this," she insisted.
"Take care? You haven't taken care of this for years!" — he retorted, repeating.
"You may underestimate Muggle forces very well, as you say, but we have weapons that you don't. We can simply sacrifice the entire city, but we'll eliminate this threat once and for all with a bomb powerful enough to destroy the entire area!"
He spoke in a serious tone, making it clear that he wouldn't hesitate to use the most extreme military resources if the magical world didn't resolve the situation quickly.
"Muggles don't have such power," she said, not believing what he claimed. After all, if the wizarding world truly knew the potency of human bombs from the non-magical world, they certainly wouldn't be so calm.
Atomic bombs had never been launched, as the war had been greatly softened with the magical world interfering in some situations. So, the non-magical world had never really used its full potential... But that didn't mean they didn't have this power in their stockpiles. The Cold War was happening while the magical world barely cared about it, because they despised the Muggle world.
"If you don't eliminate this threat, I swear, by all that is sacred, I will start dropping these bombs on the wizarding world. You're treading on a path of no return, Minister. You'd better deal with it," he spoke with a threatening tone.
"..." She didn't say much as they began to receive more updates, so they remained in that room, listening to the reports.
"Great, the army has arrived," the Prime Minister said. "I want aerial footage!"
At the same time, the Prime Minister turned on the television. A helicopter had arrived and was flying over the city to broadcast images — even if with limited quality, considering the technology of the time. Even so, it was possible to see the entire city as soon as the TV came on.
Abandoned cars, buildings in flames, explosions happening constantly. Even in the skies, broomsticks crossed the air in duels — Death Eaters fighting aurors.
"God help us..." the Prime Minister murmured, pale, as he saw the war-like scene.
He had never seen such total chaos. This was a true magical war being fought, and those images were exclusive, captured by men in that helicopter — all of them already knowledgeable of the wizarding world, so it wasn't broadcast to the Muggle public.
"Sir, something coming from the east!" someone said over the radio, snapping the man out of his stunned gaze at the TV.
The Prime Minister grabbed the device immediately. "What do you mean?"
"Something is coming through the forest, knocking down all the trees... It's advancing in our direction. All signs indicate it'll be here in two minutes," the voice responded, breathless.
Army men began issuing orders to other helicopters upon seeing the forest forming a straight line with something approaching, toppling trees.
"What is that?!" — the Prime Minister confronted the Minister, wondering if she had anything to do with it.
She slowly shook her head. "I don't know what this means," she murmured.
"Then it's another enemy... Give me visual," the Prime Minister requested the final part over the radio.
The camera then adjusted and showed the exit of the city in close-up. It displayed the entire area, filled with helicopters and official vehicles at the entrance, while in the distance, chaos could be seen coming from the forest — something was approaching more and more.
"What is that now?" — he murmured, not knowing what was coming, but it looked big.
"Men, prepare to attack!" — the minister ordered, since he hadn't recognized what was approaching. Clearly, it could be a threat.
Army soldiers began mobilizing, setting up weapons and aiming directly at the forest. Barricades were quickly raised, as whatever was coming could very well be part of the wizards' attack.
The Minister of Magic, meanwhile, had taken out an enchanted mirror and was beginning to speak with some of her officers stationed on site — especially those responsible for preventing Muggles from entering the city. She also ordered them to prepare for whatever was coming.
The sound of trees being uprooted and crushed echoed loudly as something heavy advanced with brutality.
Snape was approaching rapidly.
He began pulling out several potions from his magical inventory, recovering all the health he had lost after passing through hundreds of trees. His body had been damaged, but he regenerated quickly. He also drank potions to renew his stamina, eliminating the extreme physical fatigue after running for 30 minutes at speeds of 200 km/h. Reaching the 100 kilometers he was initially away.
Upon breaking through the final tree line, he clearly saw a barricade.
Suddenly, an entire line of soldiers pointed their weapons at him and, without hesitation, began firing.
Snape observed everything in slow motion — the rifle bullets cutting through the air, dozens, hundreds of them. To him, it was like a game.
Before any of them could hit him, he simply vanished with a shadow teleport, disappearing from the soldiers' line of sight. The bullets continued flying, the sound muffled by the chaos, and a light explosion occurred at his point of disappearance.
Next, he reappeared behind the wizards' lines. A few managed to see him dashing at high speed toward the city, but were unable to do anything as Snape passed by them all.
Snape had finally entered the area. He encountered no resistance.
In front of him, absolute chaos.
People were dying in every imaginable way. Dark wizards tortured with the Cruciatus Curse, while werewolves devoured victims in the streets. It was a scene of horror. With ministry wizards fighting directly against the Death Eaters both on the ground and in the air.
"Curse them all..." he murmured, eyes narrowing.
He advanced through the first streets. He was inside the war. And he would hunt Voldemort that very night, because Steve had said he would be there — personally — at the heart of the chaos.
His shadows began to expand at that moment.

Raccoon Here:
I wrote that the Second World War didn't happen, but I later saw that it does take place in Fantastic Beasts, so that part is incorrect. But I still can't accept that atomic bombs are unknown to the wizarding world — or even if they are aware of them, they show no concern. After all, these weapons could annihilate the entire world. That means the Hiroshima bomb exploded in 1945 — if the Second World War happened, then that event must have happened too. And even during Severus's era, the Cold War between the US and Russia was ongoing. So there were a lot of highly destructive bombs in the world.
