"The katana woman is not seen here. Are you saying our people got hurt by a ghost that doesn't exist?" Ryota asked, and it took everything in Otaru not to throw a chair at the man. There was just no way that this bunch of misfits was the one that the Doiwa people had chosen to represent them.
There were serious things that they needed to deal with, like the insanity that the Doiwa people had exhibited out there and yet right now they were focused on the worn thing.
Then again, Otaru understood them.
As disappointed as he was in how they had chosen to go about this, he couldn't deny the fact that if he wasn't Sakura's best friend, if he wasn't the one who was leading the talks on the mess that had happened, maybe he would be like them.
Maybe he would be on the other side of the table, asking the same questions. Without Sakura's input, all this would be so fucked up. But what was Otaru supposed to tell them?
