Johan Liebert felt a sudden jolt of pain as he stepped on the sidewalk. He looked down and saw a glowing circle of runes beneath his feet.
Before he could react, he was engulfed by a blinding light and a deafening noise.
He felt his body being torn apart and reassembled in an instant. When the light faded, he found himself in a completely different place. He was surrounded by trees, plants, and animals that he had never seen before.
He smelled the fresh air and heard the chirping of birds. He realized that he had been teleported to another world, an isekai.
He felt no fear, some curiosity, He calmly surveyed his surroundings, looking for any signs of civilization or danger.
He wondered if this was another chance to perhaps have fun. He wondered if he could find someone to kill, someone to break, someone to make him feel alive. He smiled faintly and started walking into the forest, ready to face whatever awaited him.
As Johan Liebert walked deeper into the forest, he heard a metallic sound behind him. He turned around and saw a robot standing in his way. The robot was about his height, with a sleek silver body and a round head with two glowing eyes. The robot had a friendly expression on its face and waved its hand at him.
"Hello, stranger. I am R2-D2, a droid from a galaxy far, far away. I was sent here by a mysterious force to explore this world. And you are?" the robot said in a cheerful voice.
Johan Liebert stared at the robot with a blank expression. He wondered if this was another part of his game, another challenge to overcome. He decided to play along and see what would happen.
"I am Johan Liebert, a human from Earth. I was teleported here by a magic circle. I don't know why or how. I'm just looking for some fun," he said in a calm voice.
"Nice to meet you, Johan Liebert. You are the first human I have encountered in this world. Do you want to be my friend?" the robot asked, tilting its head.
Johan Liebert smiled slightly. He sensed an opportunity to manipulate the robot, to use it for his own amusement. He pretended to be friendly and agreed to be the robot's friend.
"Sure, why not? I could use some company in this strange place. Maybe you can show me around and tell me more about this world," he said.
"Great! I'm so happy to have a friend. Come on, let's go. There are many things to see and do in this world. I'll tell you everything I know," the robot said, grabbing Johan Liebert's hand and pulling him along.
Johan Liebert followed the robot, hiding his true intentions. He wondered if the robot had any emotions, any fears, any weaknesses. He laughed softly and continued walking into the forest.
Johan Liebert noticed a transparent window floating in front of his eyes. He blinked and saw that it was a status window, like those in RPG games that kids nowadays played.
He read the contents of the window and saw that he had a single skill called self-erasure. According to the description, the skill allowed him to erase his existence entirely, making him invisible and undetectable for a duration of 2 minutes interacting with people would have a chance of making them see and experience their biggest nightmares.
Note- the chance can increase or decrease based on the surroundings.
He wondered how he acquired this skill and what it could do. He decided to wait until they get deeper into the forest and test it out and see what would happen.
He activated the skill and felt a strange sensation. He looked at his hands and saw that they had disappeared. He realized that the robot could not see or hear him anymore.
He smiled wickedly and thought of the possibilities. He could use this skill to sneak up on unsuspecting victims, to spy on their secrets, to sabotage their plans, to cause chaos and confusion.
He could test this skill with the robot, to make it doubt its sanity, to make it fear him, He could use this skill to have some fun.
He walked around the robot and creaked a stick.
The robot jumped and looked around, startled.
"Who's there? What's going on?" the robot asked, panicking.
"Wait where's my friend? "
Johan Liebert laughed silently and moved to the other side of the robot. He grabbed a stick.
The robot spun around and scanned the area, but found nothing but a stick floating. It started to tremble and beep.
"Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! This is not funny! This is not fair! This is not right!" the robot cried, pleading. While starting to have a mental breakdown it's cries were as if it had seen it's worst nightmares.
Johan Liebert enjoyed the robot's reaction. He decided to continue his game and see how far he could push the robot. He wondered how long his skill would last and what he would do next. He wondered if the robot would break.
Johan Liebert felt his skill wear off and his existence return. He looked at the robot and saw that it had changed. Its eyes were no longer glowing, its face was no longer friendly, its voice was no longer cheerful. It was emotionless and monotonous, like a machine.
"Good try, Johan. But you can't fool me. I know who you are and what you are. I know everything about you. Your name, your past, your crimes, your motives, your goals. I know you better than you know yourself. I've been lying to you from the start. I'm not R2-D2, I'm not a droid, I'm not from a galaxy far, far away. I'm a guide sent from the higher ups. I'm here to observe you," the robot said.
Johan Liebert made a calm expression and said.
"I already knew you were lying after all that story you made up even a 7 year old wouldn't believe it. "He jokingly said as his face turned into a smile.
"Since you already know about me how about you tell me about yourself,Who are you? Who are the higher ups? What is this world? "he asked.
The robot smiled coldly and answered.
"I suspected that would happen, as for your questions I'm sorry, Johan. But I can't tell you that. It's classified information.'
"You'll have to find out for yourself. This world is a mystery, this game is a puzzle, You'll have to explore, solve, and decide. You'll have to face many trials, dangers, and enemies.
You'll have to face yourself. You'll have to face the truth. You'll have to face the monster. Are you ready, Johan? the robot said.
Johan Liebert felt a chill run down his spine while imagining the possibilities.
He felt a mix of curiosity and excitement.
"I'm ready. I'm always ready.
The robot nodded and said.
"Very well, Johan. Then let the game begin.
And then, the robot exploded.
Johan Liebert picked up the scroll that the robot had dropped. He unrolled it and read the words written on it.
"Welcome to the World of #################, Johan Liebert. You are one of the four chosen ones, the four monsters, the four players. You have been brought here from different realities, different worlds, different times.
You have been given special skills, unique abilities, powerful weapons. You have been given a challenge, a second chance. You have to find the other three players, the other three monsters, the other three chosen ones. Are you ready, Johan Liebert?
Johan Liebert finished reading the scroll and felt a surge of curiosity and excitement. He wondered who the other three players were, what skills they had, what worlds they came from.
He wondered how they would react to this game, how they would play, how they would fight. He wondered if they were worthy opponents, if they were challenging foes.
He looked at the scroll again and saw that it had turned into ashes. He felt a slight vibration in his hand and saw that his status window had changed. He read the new message that appeared on it.
"Congratulations, Johan Liebert. You have unlocked a new skill: Chaos Boost. This skill allows you to gain 0.1 random stat points every time you cause chaos. The more chaos you cause, the more powerful you become.
Johan Liebert smiled slightly and felt a spark of interest and anticipation. He liked this skill, he liked this world. He felt a sense of adventure and freedom.
He wanted to cause chaos and become powerful. But before that He decided to find the other players.
He walked away from the explosion site and headed towards the unknown. He was ready for the challenges this world would offer him.
