Field General Burns had been staring at a black orb with arms and legs on his desk. A few soldiers stood on the other side of the room facing them.
Raven was now using her arms to feel her ears and tail.
"So, you said she changed into this thing and then sprouted ears and a tail after complaining she didn't have them?" Burns asked.
The soldiers nodded and explained what happened. "Are you sure she isn't dangerous." One of the soldiers asked. "We all say the video of what she did."
"Don't worry." Burns said as he started poking Raven. "I have a intuition. She can't harm us in this form, and she can't change back."
"How can you know that? We don't know anything about these strange powers she has."
Burns stops poking Raven and lifts her up with both hands. Raven stares back looking as cute as she can. "My intuition is almost never wrong. Besides, she woukd have killed us by now. Instead that right my cute little killing machine?"
"That's right." Raven says flailing her arms trying to hit Burns. "Now that I have my ears and tail, I'm almost as cute as I used to be."
"Ahh. Deadly and cute. Yes you are."
The soldiers exchange glances wondering what's going on. Not even a day ago and this thing killed dozens of soldiers, and now their general is playing with it as if it were an actual plushie.
"What's your name?" Burns asks with a smile.
"Raven!" She squeaks.
"Such a beautiful name. Listen, we need some information."
Raven thinks for a moment before answering. "No."
"Is that so. Is there anything we can do to change your mind? I'd rather not resort to torture. I assure you that we will treat you with the utter most respect if you answer our questions."
Ravan pauses once again to think about his offer. She doesn't know how durable this body is, and she'd rather not be tortured if she could help it.
'As long as they don't want to be turned into werewolves, then it should be fine.' Raven makes up her mind.
"I want my own room and some food."
"Deal." Burns said. "What kind of food do you want?"
"Human flesh." She says with excitement while showing him her sharp teeth.
"Yes, I can arrange that." Burns says with a sinister grin. He pulls out a pistol from his holster and shoot one of the soldiers in the leg.
As he cries out in pain, Burns continues to shoot him in his other leg and both his arms.
"There you go. Fresh meat. He can't even fight back against you." Burns turns his attention to frightened soldier who is standing there in shock as he watches Raven jump down from the desk and starts eating the man alive.
"You'll be interrogating her. I'd recommend getting all the information you can out of her before she runs out of food."
The soldier has his back against the wall as he closes his eyes and tries not to throw up. He can hear Raven feasting on the man. Flesh tearing, bones snapping.
Raven laughs to herself internally thinking about how gullible these humans are, thinking that she'd tell them anything useful. But she realizes her plan would only get her so far. At least it would give her time to think of a way to escape.
Then again, it wouldn't matter if she told them the truth. There's nothing they could do to disrupt her master's plans.
A few hours went by and they had eventually given Raven her own room. There wasn't much to it. Just a bed and a toilet. The walls of the room were just made of concrete. It felt like a prison cell. Then again, Raven thought it was exactly that.
'This is not what I meant by my own room. Then again, I was vague about it. I'll just demand more food as compensation.' She thought.
The metal door to her cell opened. The soldier from before walked in, Burns entering right after him. Burns gestured for the soldier to start.
"We need to know where they went. When we investigated the ruins of the city, we did not find their bodies."
Raven tried to shrug her shoulders before realizing she didn't have any. She honestly didn't know where they went. She was taken away without knowing where their safe haven was.
After questing her further about this, Burns is starting to think she is telling the truth. However, there is something he knows she has information about.
"Raven. Could you tell me what you used to kill our soldiers? I'd love to know how you did it." Burns says in a calm voice that almost sounds like a parent talking to a child.
"I see." Raven said in a playful tone. "So that's why you captured me. Well, even if i did, I doubt you'd be able to perform any magic spells."
"Magic?" Burns asks while rubbing his chin. "And why do you think that?"
"The magic here is weak. Even if I taught you it, it would take years to see any kind of results." Raven somewhat lies.
"I'm a very patient man." Burns replies. "Besides, that'll give us plenty of time to get to know each other."
Raven starts playing with her hands trying to distract herself. "I don't think my master will like me doing that."
The soldier who had stood there watching everything up till now tries to hold in a laugh, but Burns notices this.
"Something funny?"
"Sorry. It's kinda hilarious that this is what she's concerned about." He rubs the back of his head trying to play it off.
Burns ignores the soldier and turns his attention back to Raven. "What is this master of yours like?"
"Hey." The soldier says. "I thought I was supposed to be interrogating her?"
Burns snaps his head to look at dead in the eyes right as he pulls out a pistol and shoots him in the head.
"Sorry about that Raven. Please have a meal and get some sleep. We'll discuss this tomorrow."
Burns exists the room mumbling something under his breath about incompetence soldiers.
Raven is left a little confused, and slightly hungry. She won't be able to eat this human, at least not all of him.
As she is deep in her own thoughts, the soldiers hand twitches. A few seconds later, he sits up, a dark aura flickers around his eyes and dissappears.
"I'm glad he's finally gone. Now we can talk in private."
Raven is stunned for a second before realizing who is actually talking to her. "Master. Is it really you? Have you come to save me."
He gives her a warm smile before responding with a single word. "No."
