Ren looked around and finally saw Ruth fighting some vampires.Once she disposed of them the same thing happened to their flesh and blood.It all got sucked into the pipes before the corpses dissipated into smoke and dropped their loot.
Ruth observed this happening with narrowed eyes.Clearly she was suspicious of the same thing.Ren approached with cautious steps and spoke of his suspicions.
"We have to find where all the vampires blood and flesh is going and stop it before something bad happens.Will you follow me?"
"Of course but shouldn't we wait for Raphael to finish his battle?" Ruth nervously asked as she saw the determination in Rens eyes.
"The issue will probably only get worse if we wait for Raphael we can sort this out ourselves." Ren turned away and was unable to see Ruth's doubtful expression.
The truth was that Ren did acknowledge that there was a possible serious issue with where the blood and flesh was going.However Ren also saw the prospect of good loot and possibility of increasing his strengh.He also didn't want to depend on Raphael.Getting sufficient battle experience should also help close the distance between him and Raphael.
Ren jumped onto the 6 metre interior balcony with Ruth.This feat was rather simple for them despite the fact that it was impossible for people from Rens previous world.The two then entered a door deeper into the mansion.
They then headed up by five floors.Everywhere they went they encountered those same pipes adorning the interior walls of the mansion along with vampires of all shapes and sizes.
Ren tried to avoid killing them and the boost his equipped thorn dagger gave him enabled him to speed past most vampires but Ruth was slower then him so he would occasionally have to slay some stronger vampires.
They eventually reached crimson double doors at the end of a stair case to what was likely the attic of the mansion.Ren and Ruth checked if they were prepared before Ren opened the crimson doors.
The doors opened widely as they both witnessed the fancy interior of the room.The pipes all led to the back of the attic into a ominous throne that was being used by a strange creature.
The room had crimson carpets and chandeliers adorned with crimson gems.As for the figure it resembled a vampiric male creature.Its figure was pale,naked and gaunt as though it had been malnourished its entire life.Though it was naked it lacked a manhood.
It's legs were skinny and had bird like feet used for grabbing in midair.Its arms were slender and like it's legs had its skin stuck to the bone.It possessed 10 cm nail-like claws on its hands and feet.Its abdomen was stuck against its spine as though it lacked a stomach and intestines.The chest was pale and only skin stuck to a rib cage whilst lacking nipples.The head was human like with overgrown fangs and teeth that jutted out of its mouth.Its nose was simply snake like orifices.The eyes were an extremely pale red and its remaining hair was greasy and had multiple large bald spots.Its wings were bat like and possessed multiple holes and bite marks.Its tail was simply thin and worn like with bones visible in some places.It possessed multiple thin bone spikes on random parts of its body.
The creature simply looked unhealthy and was a direct contrast to the dryad that Ren had faced previously.
The creature appeared to have noticed them enter as it sat on its chair where multiple needle were injecting blood and flesh into its body.The entity then used some type of spell to turn into a human in a black business suit.Though even in this form its appearance was abhorrent.
The suit was torn and ripped in multiple places and it's human form still appeared to be unnaturally malnourished.However some sound appeared in the surrounding pipes as blood and flesh was then injected into the entity's body.Its appearance then became slightly healthier as its suit appeared to mend slightly and its figure became less gaunt.
"Welco..." a raspy and suffering voice sounded out but was interrupted when Ren charged and stabbed the vampire in the heart with his thorn dagger.
Ren grinned as he expected this to be the killing blow based on his knowledge of vampires.Contrary to his expectation when he backed off however the vampire count simply looked shocked for a moment before gaining an angered expression.Its fatal wound immediately regenerated.
"LISTEN TO WHEN PEOPLE AR..." the raspy voice yelled but was interrupted when Ren stabbed it in the heart again.A pained expression appeared but turned into an angered expression once its wound regenerated.
"What's the game here?" Wondered Ren as he stabbed the vampire in the heart again.Once the stab wound regenerated however the vampire said something that got Rens attention.
"You have cost me three souls and your death won't be enough to pay up for it."
