I stood frozen, gun still pointed at Antonia.
" Did you miss me bitch?"
The sound of the gunshot still echoed in my ears,the cold metal pressing against my palm like an icy kiss. Every muscle in my body was tense, coiled springs ready to unleash their stored energy.
Antonia stood just a few feet away, her coat soaked with blood that seemed to glow crimson in the fading light.
She turned around slowly , eyes locked onto mine, a mixture of shock and pain spreading across her face. She stumbled backward, her body swaying like a puppet with cut strings.
"You're...you're supposed to be dead," she stammered, her voice barely audible.
