They pushed the door open and entered the palace. The grandeur inside once again left them speechless.
Except for the skeletal remains of the dead scattered around, it was truly the most well-preserved underground palace.
With flashlights in hand, they illuminated their way forward, step by step, treading over skeletons as they advanced.
Ye Que noticed something—the man beside him was standing very close and trembling. Turning his head, he asked, "Are you scared?"
Li Luo flinched, then glanced at Ye Que with a mocking smile. "Do you think I'd be afraid of this?"
"Then why are you trembling?"
Li Luo avoided his gaze and answered evasively, "Low oxygen levels. I feel uncomfortable inside."
Holding his flashlight, he was the first to move forward.
Ye Que reached into his backpack, took out a bottle of water and a towel, dampened it, and walked up to hand it to Li Luo.
"Cover your mouth and nose. Maybe it'll ease the discomfort a bit."
