Early next morning at four o'clock, inside the Wall of Rossa.
The breeze drifted by, occasionally lifting wisps of smoke from the chimneys of some dwellings. Inside the walls, the civilians, in their fear, started a new day early.
Although three breaches had been kicked into the Wall of Rossa, no giants had surged in due to the Contractors guarding it. The nobles of the innermost Wall Sina would not let civilians in, and the old town under the Wall of Rossa would only open in the direst circumstances.
Once it opens, they can only consume the grain stored by the Royal Family. Before giants surge into the Wall of Rossa, the Royals would not allow civilians in there.
The civilians inside the Wall of Rossa could only return to their homes and start a new day under the threat of the giants.
This bright morning did not clear away the gloom in the hearts of the civilians. The shadow of the giants loomed over everyone. When would they attack?
Though it was dangerous, life had to go on.
