"Ella dear, why are you crying, huh?" Arthur Lindsey was the first to notice something was off, his eyes gleaming with a wicked brilliance.
"..." Ella Lacey turned her little head away, not wanting anyone to see the tears shimmering in her eyes.
"Ella mommy is a sentimental animal."
It seemed like her little one understood her feelings, helping her out, "It's her first New Year at home, she's excited."

Arthur was quite interested in his daughter's description, his wicked lips curving slightly, "Then my Ella dear must be a little crybaby kitten."

Suddenly, Ella made a cat sound, breaking into laughter, and leaned into Arthur's ear, mysteriously whispering, "Actually, I'm a little 'wolf', wahahaha..."

The festive sounds from the television masked Ella's wolfish laughter.
And generously, Arthur softly replied in her ear, "Is it New Year's Eve today?"
