"Another three are professionals, and even the one with the shortest time in the circle has been there for two years. Everyone has quite a few works to their name, whereas you, an amateur with just one foot at the music doorstep and only one work, so don't feel upset about not getting the award," Mair Williams was consoling Jane Sampson in advance.
"Don't worry, I'm not so stubborn," Jane Sampson chuckled, "Look how worried you are about me. I'm an actor, not a singer. Just being able to attend this grand event today, and later stand on stage with Mr. Carter to receive an award, is already an incredible surprise for me. I wouldn't dare to hope for anything else."
Seeing that Jane wasn't stretching the truth, Mair was relieved. "I think so too. The Jane Sampson I know always seems too carefree."
