After hesitating for a moment, Keira Leaf said, "Let's meet at half past ten."
Having agreed upon the meeting time, Keira Leaf didn't linger. She glanced up at the roof surveillance camera, felt that it wasn't active, and slipped out of the company building.
She walked across the street to the cafe and found a window-side position on the second floor to wait.
Not long after, Lucas Taylor hurried over in casual clothes and took a seat directly across from Keira Leaf.
After each of them ordered a cup of water, Keira Leaf started the conversation, "How have you been recently? Jack was talking about you just yesterday."
Mentioning Tristan Leaf softened Lucas Taylor's expression, and the scars on his face didn't seem as frightening.
"He called me yesterday, although he didn't say a word."
Keira couldn't help but smile, "You mentioned last time that you had something to tell me."
