"It must be Dad calling back, I'll get the telephone." Zoe Yale said, and swiftly dashed toward the landline telephone, grabbing it with one hand.
As soon as she had picked up the telephone, Zoe Yale couldn't wait to shout, "Father!"
She had hoped to use Chester Yale's name as an excuse to smoothly slip back to her room, but unexpectedly, the person on the other end was indeed Chester Yale!
"Father!" Zoe Yale exclaimed again, in surprise.
"You didn't hope it was Father? Why do you sound so shocked?" Chester Yale's deep voice came from the other end of the line, with a hint of displeasure.
"..." Would she get hit if she answered honestly?
Zoe Yale's cunning big eyes blinked, and she quickly put on a sweet smile.
"Who said that? Dad, I missed you so much. When are you and Mom coming back?"
"At least you have some conscience. Hand the telephone to your Elder Brother," Chester Yale snorted coldly, abruptly changing the topic.
