Outside the diner stood Altair and Neo.The night air was crisp as they lingered by the entrance, the warmth of their shared meal still lingering.

Their heated debate over ice cream flavors—particularly which deserved the title of second-best—had been surprisingly intense, though it had ended on good terms.

The only awkward interaction came from the diner's owner, who kept giving them knowing looks and making not-so-subtle comments about what a "cute couple" they made. Altair had brushed it off, but the implication had left him mildly flustered. Still, all in all, it had been a fun experience.

Again, thank you for introducing me to this place,"Altair said, rubbing the back of his neck. "I would've given up if it weren't for you."

Neo waved him off dismissively before typing on her Scroll and holding it up.

Like I said, it was nothing. It's not every day I get to share my love for ice cream with someone.

' And what a way to share it. ' Altair thought recalling the argument they ahd before their meal.

Their argument had been fierce—almost comically so. The kind of passionate, over-the-top debate usually reserved for online forums where keyboard warriors fought to the death over fictional ships or power scaling. Yet somehow, debating whether chocolate or vanilla was the superior secondary flavor (after Neapolitan, of course) had been just as intense.

'Luckily, I was just as stubborn as her.'

Neo typed again, her expression playful.

Anyways, be safe going home. I don't want my fellow ice cream enthusiast ending up in a hospital!

"Don't worry about me—I can handle myself," Altair chuckled. "What about you? I can't imagine a smol stack like you is safe wandering the city alone."

Neo's eyes narrowed at the jab, her cheeks puffing up in mock indignation. Without hesitation, she began throwing light, playful punches at his arm. Altair responded with an exaggerated flare, as he clutched his chest and staggered back as if he was struck by a titan.

"Ugh! Ugh! The agony! The sheer, unrelenting power of the almighty Neo!" He collapsed to his knees, one hand reaching toward the sky in a theatrical display of defeat. "My lungs… my spirit… crushed by her mighty fists!"

Neo rolled her eyes but couldn't suppress a smirk. She stepped forward and bonked him lightly on the head with her Scroll.

Fear my power!

"Yeah, yeah,"*Altair grinned, standing back up and towering over her once more.

Neo struck a pose, fingers flicking dramatically as she typed one last message.

Now, for my final feat of power… I shall disappear!

With a flourish, she bowed—only for Altair to reach out and pat her head before she could vanish. The sudden contact made her stiffen, her illusion flickering for a split second as her face flushed. Then, with a sound like shattering glass, she was gone.

*"Huh," Altair mused, staring at the empty space where she'd been. "Guess she can handle herself."

Feigning ignorance—though the faintest smirk tugged at his lips—he turned and walked away, already thinking about his next destination.

' Should be enough '

Altair stood on top of one of the many giant cranes that stood on the shipping docks of Vale. From his position he saw the many storage containers, warehouses, and crares littered across the massive docks. But he was keeping a close eye on one particular warehouse.

"I do not aim with my hand; he who aim with his hand has forgotten the name of the lord and his acts. I aim with eye and heart as the lord wills"

Gold light shimmered from his eyes, before quickly disappearing. With a gentle yank, he removed his blindfold. His eyes, weren't the usual silver they once held, this time they were plae gold, with slight fluctuations causing the color to change into a deeper shade of gold.

With his new pair of eyes, he focused on one particular warehouse. 2 People wearing white clothes with black hoods and sleeves, wielding weapons guarded the door leading into the warehouse.

"Did White Fang cooperate with Roman this early?"

The question lingered, as he went into the other side of the crane he was in, away from the warehouse the White Fang members guarded. He jumped down from the crane, fully descending without any gear, and at the last second he used his semblance to hover just before hitting the ground, dispersing the force from the fall outward effictively killing his momentum.

The air around him rushed away, before settling down. The whole thing was somehow silent enough to not draw attention from anyone. With a tap of his shoe, Altair landed on the ground safely.

' How convenient '

With a quest lined up, Altair benefited from this, even though he was going to do it anyway.

He then began to move, jumping towards the containers, making zero noise using his semblance to disperse the sound waves generate by his steps, and his knowledge of Spy and Assissin Arts. He blended with the shadows, pushing his perception away from him, expanding it to be alert of anyone entering a 12 Meter radius with him in the center.

' Parkour! '

Yes it was parkour.

Anyways, after a few minutes he finally reached the warehouse he spotted earlier. He made sure to stay out of the White Fang members' line of sight, knowing that Faunus had incredible night vision. He controlled his breathing, also aware of the Faunus' keen hearing.

' Now what? '

Altair was stuck, how could he enter when the entrance to the warehouse were guarded by some of the most sensitive species on the planet. But thankfully, due to some Deus Ex Machina bs, one guard entered the warehouse, leaving the other one all alone.

' Easy pickings I guess '

Wasting no time, Altair dashed forward, faster than the White Fang member can react, and put him in a guillotine choke. The member tried to fight back and struggle, but it was in vain as he began to slowly but surely lose consciousness.

"Finally"

After putting the member into a secluded area ( In the shadows ), stripping him of his clothes and mask and wearing it as a disguise. Altair entered the building with ease

Altair stared at the hologram in disbelief.

"It's that easy?"

"What's easy?" A vocie questioned from behind him. Altair froze, recognizing the voice. "Well then. What's easy exactly?"

Roman has entered the building.
