{3rd Pov}
At the same time the cave lit up, a laser beam hit the bat, pushing it backward. The human who was present before had now transformed into a humanoid being, with an eye protruding from its back.
The bat didn't slow down and advanced for a rematch, but it was met with more eyes appearing and firing at it. The humanoid finally turned around, revealing a being with prominent ears that occupied most of its head, but with no eyes located there.
The humanoid raised its hand, and an eye emerged from it, pointing at itself. With a surprised expression, it said.
"This is strange. It seems like we are now relatives, you pest."
{MC's POV}
This is strange. Shortly after hitting my head on the wall, I tried to dodge to the side, but in that moment, I felt my body change. The first thing I noticed was that I saw the bat's claw almost hitting me, but strangely it was pushed back.
It took me a while to realize that I was facing backward and shouldn't be able to see it, but it got even stranger when my vision expanded, and I started seeing in 360 degrees, as if it were daytime.
The bat recovered and lunged at me again, but once again, it was pushed back. It finally dawned on me that laser beams were coming out of my body, specifically from the eyes that had appeared on my back. On closer inspection, I realized I wasn't wearing a shirt. And did the bat seem to have shrunk in size?
Finally, I turned to face it, trying to control these strange eyes that weren't on my face. After a bit of practice, I managed to control the opening and closing of the eyes. With a bit more control, I made one of them come out directly from my hand. I turned it toward my face and finally got a better look at myself. I couldn't help but exclaim, "This is strange. It seems like we are now relatives, you pest."
I have changed. I lost my nose and my eyes. In their place, I now have ears that occupy the upper part of my body. The skin in front is fair, and it's slightly darker from the shoulder down. My body is more muscular and taller, with longer arms and sharp claws. I'm wearing black pants with green details, a belt with a disc displaying a green hourglass symbol. And to top it off, I lost my shoes, and now I have three-toed claw-like feet, reminiscent of some mutant animal.
"BEEP BEEP BEEP ZZZZZZZZZZ"
"Can't you stay quiet for a moment? I'm trying to think."
Damn, I can't think straight with that loud buzzing. What? It seems like more of them are coming. Two, no, four are approaching, but I can't see them. Echolocation, it seems like these ears, resembling those of a Chernobyl bat, are not just for decoration.
Damn it, I'll think about my state later. I need to focus. Those beams came out of my eyes instinctively before. Now, I just need to find a way to activate them consciously. By focusing my gaze on the bat, I realize I have some kind of energy. Pushing a bit, I finally manage to consciously shoot a beam.
I start shooting frantically at it, but I realize these beams are individually weak. I need to control the output of each eye because if I exert too much force, it starts to hurt.
It seems like the size of the eye reflects the amount of energy I can release. Finally, I manage to take down the first bat and move to another location. The last thing I want now is to be cornered by.
Running for a bit, a second pest appears. I focus on the palm of my hand, and from there, an eye emerges that occupies the entire palm. Pointing it at its head, I fire a concentrated beam that hits it directly and knocks it unconscious.
"Take that, you pest."
I don't have much time to celebrate my victory, so I start running again. But quickly, I realize it's futile. The bats are too fast, and my only chance is to confront them and silence them before they call for reinforcements with their buzzing.
"ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ"
Damn it, calm down. I can't escape; I have to face them. I position myself for better defense and start firing at them. At first, it seems to work, but over time, they get used to dodging and retreating while coordinating their movements to surround me.
With more and more bats arriving, it's getting increasingly difficult to resist. Having to divide my focus, my shots are getting worse. I have to shoot faster and deal with more than twenty of them. My shots are becoming less accurate and weaker. I don't have enough time to concentrate enough energy in each eye to deal with them.
"1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 17..."
Calm down, this situation can't continue like this. More of them are coming every moment. I have to come up with a plan to get out of here; my time is running out. How can I get out of this situation? Time? Clock. Oh, I remember, I just selected a watch.
Omnitrix, isn't it? From the animated series Ben 10. Ben could transform into aliens with the watch, it's the same situation I'm experiencing. How could I forget that? Okay, let's go. If I'm transformed like in the series, what am I? Or rather, who am I?
"Eye Guy."
I couldn't help but shout.
Now, how can I use this information? He doesn't appear much. Now I remember the fights. How did he fight? He shot lasers from his eyes and concentrated them to form a giant eye on his chest. Anything else? Yes, that. It can be useful.
"... 11, 13, 17, 19, 21, 23, 27, 29..."
Finally, devising a strategy, I start running backward toward a wall. Even though it's not the fastest way, it's the best for now because I can keep my hands free to shoot and defend myself. Finally reaching the wall, I remove all the eyes from my body and concentrate them on my chest, starting to prepare my final move.
I need 10 seconds to prepare the last beam and finish them off.
1 second.
They're getting closer.
2 seconds.
I prepare my claw to defend myself.
3 seconds.
The closest one arrives, it points its claws at me.
4 seconds.
I counterattack with my left hand.
5 seconds.
Sparks fly from our contact, I manage to push it back.
6 seconds.
Another one approaches, I punch it, but the situation doesn't improve, two more have arrived.
7 seconds.
With no other choice, I use my arms to protect the eye on my chest.
8 seconds.
They hit me, tearing flesh with their claws. They got my ear, I can't hear their location anymore.
9 seconds.
"Ouch!"
Pain, pain. They scratch my body and tear my flesh, but I won't give in. I just have to protect my eye, and everything will be fine.
10 seconds.
Finally ready, I remove my arms, revealing a gigantic eye pulsating with green energy, showing signs of overload.
A bat tries to hit my eye, but before it can, a burst of light is released.
"SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
{3rd Person POV}
The cave was shrouded in darkness, showing signs of past battles. Bat corpses were scattered all around. In the midst of this somber atmosphere, a group of more than twenty bats were swarming over Eye Guy. The air was filled with screams from both sides, agonizing cries were released as his skin was torn apart in the midst of the conflict.
However, as if a radiant sun burst forth to illuminate the darkness, a beam of energy emerged, engulfing all the bats and spreading across the cave walls. The bright light would blind anyone who looked, obscuring the view in that place.
"SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
When the light finally dissipated, a completely transformed scene was revealed. Where dozens of bats had ruthlessly advanced towards Eye Guy, now there were ice statues, motionless, covering the entire expanse of the cave. Layers upon layers of ice blocked the entrance like an impenetrable barrier.
Eye Guy, injured and exhausted, finally found the strength to move. He delivered powerful punches, shattering the now frozen bat-shaped statues. He tried to walk, but his wounds prevented him from standing. He knelt down, and in the blink of an eye, he disappeared.
In his place, kneeling in the same position, a human child appeared, appearing to be no more than 10 years old. She was completely unscathed, with impeccable clothes, as if she had never caused such carnage.
[Author's Note: I didn't really think of a name for the MC, I was thinking of calling him Ben 10 {Benjamin Tennyson} anyway, but if someone is reading this and has a suggestion, maybe I'll change it.]
