The Oiran parade continued to move forward slowly, and Dorothy watched the procession with great interest.

The homebody witch glanced at these masks and found they were common Japanese monsters like charming foxes, kappas, tengus, and so on.
These peculiar witches were the vanguard officers of the Oiran parade. They danced strangely, which to Dorothy looked like some kind of shamanistic dance, while humming some oddly pitched songs.
Although the songs and dances were peculiar, they were indeed effective. It seemed to be some kind of mysterious ritual, as Dorothy could sense that the emotions of the onlooking crowd were being stirred up by these officers' performance, making them significantly more excited. As a result, the atmosphere became much more lively.
