The next day, Jay came into the office with Jane next to him. When Jane walked into the office, everyone noticed her right away.
You could really feel how cool and confident she was as she smoothly walked across the room. She stood out and caught everyone's eye, looking around as she walked over to Kim.
Kim looked surprised for a second, then quickly changed to a small smile. "Jane, it's nice to see you," he said, his voice suggesting there was more to his words.
"You too, Kim," Jane said with a smile, sounding calm and relaxed. "I'm here to participate in the contest."
The room felt heavy with things left unsaid as the four of them started working. Jay felt the strong discomfort in the atmosphere and tried to ease the tension by speaking up.
"Jane has a lot of experience and keeps her amazing body," he said in a calm but strong voice. "She's just right for this competition. "
Riele stayed calm and watched the conversations with a lack of strong feelings. Kim looked calm, but you could still see the doubt in his eyes.
Even though they tried to act professionally, the tension between them was still there, just under the surface.
Kim cleared his throat and tried to sound relaxed as he said, "Jane, let me introduce you to your co-model, Riele." When they shook hands, he didn't mention that Riele was his girlfriend and Jane was his ex. The atmosphere in the room changed, full of unsaid words.
Kim then looked at Riele and Jane and spoke like a leader. "Riele and Jane, you will choose the outfits. I will meet Jay to talk about marketing ideas."
Riele and Jane nodded. Kim looked at Jay, and his attitude changed as he walked out of the room.
When Riele started talking about outfit designs with Jane, there was a slight feeling of unease between them. Riele felt uneasy and thought that Jane had a secret plan, even though Jane acted friendly.
"Can we talk, Jay?" Kim asked, sounding a bit frustrated. "I need to understand what you plan to do in this competition."
Jay looked at Kim, feeling both angry and a bit anxious. "I want to win, just like you, Kim. I think we have the best team to make it happen. Jane is an important part of our team."
"What about Riele?"
Kim's question was very important and made him think.
Jay moved awkwardly, looking around the room like he wanted to find a way out. "Riele is very good at what she does," he said kindly.
Kim squinted. "I'm worried about winning. If Jane is an issue for Riele, then she is an issue for the whole team."
The two men felt a strong tension between them, like a quiet fight that went on for a long time.
At last, Jay said something in a quiet and serious voice. "I get what you're worried about, Kim. I promise you, Jane is really committed to this competition."
Kim thought about this for a moment while keeping his eyes on Jay. "I hope you're correct," he said, sounding serious. "If you're not, then you will have to respond to me."
As Kim started to walk away, Jay felt a mix of worry and resolve in his heart. He knew he had to show Kim that Jane was trustworthy. But inside, he realized that Kim was correct. It was risky to involve Jane in the competition, and he couldn't overlook that risk.
At the same time, Riele and Jane were working very hard, but the tension between them was hard to miss.
As they cooperated, Riele started to feel more cautious. "Jane, I like your thoughts on the designs, but I feel some stress between us," she said, choosing her words carefully.
Jane didn't react and looked at Riele with a calm attitude. "I'm not here to create any trouble, Riele. I'm here to win this contest. I should mention that I was Kim's girlfriend before and still have feelings for him."
Riele's eyes got big, and her heart raced.
Riele felt a wave of fear as she understood what Jane had admitted.
Jane said with a big smile, "I want to go through my history with Kim again."
Riele's hands shook as she stood there, looking at the woman who was obviously still in love with her boyfriend.
"I get it," she said, her voice trembling.
Jane squinted her eyes and pinched her lips together. "Let's be good friends, how about that?"
Riele thought about the question. "I need to go to the bathroom, please excuse me."
Jane watched Riele as she left.
As Riele went down the hallway, Jane started to think a lot. She could tell that Riele was keeping a secret, but she didn't know what it was. It seemed like Riele felt scared because she was there. She tightened her jaw, ready to figure it all out.
When Riele walked into the bathroom, she let her tough act drop. She felt tears in her eyes as she leaned on the sink, her heart beating quickly. She felt confused and unsure, as if everything in her life was falling apart.
She wanted to talk to Jane and tell her the truth about her relationship with Kim, but she thought it would only make things more difficult. Jane really wanted to get Kim back, no matter what it took.
Riele dried her tears and took a big breath.
She looked at her reflection in the mirror and took a moment to prepare herself. "I can do this," she said quietly, trying to build her courage. "I will take care of my relationship with Kim. I won't let Jane get to me."
But deep down, Riele understood that it was easier to talk about than to actually do. She thought Jane was someone she shouldn't take lightly. She was smart, clever, and very focused. And she was focused on Kim.
Riele splashed cold water on her face, hoping it would help her think better.
When Riele came out of the bathroom, she saw Kim waiting right outside the door. His face didn't show what he was feeling; it looked like he was worried, but there was something else that she couldn't understand.
"Riele," he said gently. "Are you alright? You've been behaving weird since Jane came. Is there something happening?"
Riele gulped and looked for the right words to say. But before she could reply, she heard Jane calling from down the hallway.
"Kim, I want to talk to you about something."
