Chapter 423 - Last War on Kislev Part 6: The Red Tzar Arrives

(General POV)

Location Warhammer Old World-Kislev,

Northern Oblast: Edge of the Corrupted Tzeentchian Lands of the Dark Legion, Battlefield; Dark Legion vs. Kislev

Tzeentch was casting a Combo Magic spell, a new one never seen before, causing a great change and spectacle on the sky with a collage of tzeentchian and fire colored.

The magical force of the Winds of Magic with overflowing, bending to the will of the Arcane Monarch, Ixion Daemonhart, it would've been unbelievable if Katarina and her people weren't witnessing this event personally.

All the while the older Warp Gods...with the exception of the Blood God...watched with intrigue, as their younger brother created a whole new spell.

Tzeentch through Ixion was channeling the forces of tzeenchian and fire magics into one harmonious, and devastating spell that if not equal will surpass his first combo magic spell of the [Fluxing Thunderbird].

As flames started to manifest into physical space, in crimsons, blues, and pinks fires sparked and burned the very skies above, the intense heat along with eldritch energies was actually heating up the entire, frozen lands around them, no magical force has been able to accomplish rivaling the force of Ursun's winter winds.

The two magics were coverging above the Chosen of the Gods, merging their power and forming a gigantic eldritch eye.

A eye composed of hellish fire, tentacles of various tzeentchian abomination surrounding its eldritch flames making the inner multi-irises of the eyeball, as the symbol of the Architect of Fate was forming as it body in crimson and pink fires, as the skies continue to burn and twist at the meer manifestation of this spell.

This is the [Occularous Infernum], and it was waiting to be commanded to attack by it creator and castor, literally acting as living magic made manifested, Tzeentch was quite eager to unleash the [Occularous Infernum], as he could taste the fear of the Kislevites, many wanting to flee.

But this spell has no escape, especially with the Sorceror God being the one that is both controlling and casting this spell.

Looking through the eyes of Ixion, Tzeentch commanded one of it's upper-arms to swing and sent out the wrath of this tzeentchian abomination that he has wrought.

With the command to attack, the burning eldritch eyeball, as it multiple irisis were now focused on the Ice Court, seeing and sensing great danger, Tzarina Katarina, she commanded her forces to fall back, but it was too late...

The [Occularous Infernum] eye started to split open, like a twisted blooming eldritch flower, separating in nine sections revealing countless tentacle-tendrils with eyeballs allover these indigo colored appendages, the Dark One actually clapped in appreciative admiration, thinking that Tzeentch never disappoint in presentation, while Nurgle is body and blighted horror, Tzeentch is the master of eldritch, lovecraftion style horror.

And this is just the spell beginning to activate per say, watching the show proceeding...the [Occularous Infernum] now unknown extra amount of eyes, as these eyes started glowing in one of three colors, orangy-red, blue, and pink, before unleashing a stream of swirling flames of one of these colors.

These streams of magical flames, started to transform into daemonic silhouettes, laughing, or wailing, or yelling as they rush at the Ice Court forces.

Upon coming with contact with these magical flames various things happened to the poor unfortunate soul that burns, they were lit up in flames burning, melting, mutating, crystallization and even falling lifeless as souls were burned instead of their flesh.

A literal unpredictable death, for each of the victims of the [Occularous Infernum], and the flames didn't stop at the living, armor, weapons, equipment, and even the environment were affected by these fires.

Only by moving away from a victim of these flames, and running from them can one escape the horrors wrought by this daemonic sorcery, Katarina, she was desperately trying to organize her troops and flee together, instead running around like headless chickens!!

All the while the Dark Legion, watched the horror and terror unfold with glee.

Those especially impressed by this were the tzeentchian mortal and daemonic forces, along with Tzeentch himself and Laharl, Khorne was indifferent in his usual disdain for magic and sorcery, and Nurgle only appreciate the death that the Architect's spell is causing.

Well the Dark One even said, "Hahaha. Tzeentch. As much as a nuisance is to deal with you sometimes, I'll be the first to say it. You have a flair for horror. And that high praise coming from the Terror himself." Tzeentch just cackled, seeing as this was as close of a true compliment that he'll receive from any of his siblings.

As this happened another force was closing in the battle, after struggling to enter this battleground for sometime, as Tzeentch new combo spell did burn something non could have predicted...time.

Thus allowing this small army to arrive earlier, and now there they were watching this devastation unfold, and non aside from the Warp Gods themselves noticed that the Red Tzar has come...

(Boris Ursus POV)

I've arrived to see...devastation.

Most of my dear daughter's forces have been wiped out, along with many once brave heroes of the Motherland, ohh Ursun grant me strength.

Something strange occurred during our march here, suddenly what should have been a town that would have taken them days to reach, we were suddenly leaving it, woods that were starting to come to view would then be right upon us.

This happen all throughout that journey, then me and my forces tried to do as we originally planned to do, march behind the enemy lines and strike from their rear, as my daughter and her allies kept on fighting the Dark Legion from the front.

But no matter the times we've tried to enter Oblast, we were turned around, I scoff at this memory, only that damned God of Change would be responsible for such infuriating effects on the world, and since my original plan was foiled before I could enact it.

So I turned my troops and lead them here now, and what I see is utter chaos, but fate was merciful for them, my daughter is still alive and still trying to fight back for the Motherland and Ursun's well being.

Seems that I can't remain in the shadows anymore, I must fight and I must lead like times of old, once this battle was done I'll fully bequeath rule of Kislev to Katarina.

(General POV)

Boris and his forces were standing strong at the top of snowy hill, some distance away from the devastation wrought down by Ixion/Tzeentch's spell, the Changer sensing a strong and willful soul amongst all the new mortal reinforcements.

As Tzeentch mentally chuckle, and spoke to himself, "Seems that both Khorne and Laharl traits for engaging battle, are starting to rub off onto me." commanding Ixion to swing the scepter and enforce his will, thus canceling the spell, which made the [Occularous Infernum] stop attacking, retract its tendrils, seal it eyeball and fade away back to the Winds of Magic.

This sudden stop, alerted Katarina, as she was shocked that her enemy would purposely relinquish the opportunity to eliminate her and her entire forces, before she could speak or issue command a maiden rush towards and shuck her arm to gain her attention, telling her to look behind her.

Confused, but she did as requested and...she gasped, as she saw a long missed loved one, and hero mounted on a very familiar white bear...it was her dear father, Boris Ursus, the Red Tzar, alive and with a small force standing with him.

Boris, rised his magical spear and pointed it forwards, signaling the charge all men and women beside him, let out a great battle cry and followed their lord into the fray.

As this mainly calvary composed force of Boris, soon rushed through the remnants of the Ice Court, Katarina, called out, "Follow the Tzar. For Kislev!! For Ursun!!!" as the two forces joined together and charged at the Dark Legion.

Tzeentch seeing this approaching force, he made Ixion make a hand gesture and thus all his commanders came to join him, Harald Hammerstorm, Yuri Godslayer, Dullahan, Kholek Suneater, Throgg, Tai Tai Shien, Skarlet, and Yuma Trollvile, and right behind them was the full force of the Dark Legion.

Just like Boris did a moment ago, the Changer through Ixion pointed the [Hellbane] at the charging enemy, thus signaling the counter-charge, immediately all the warriors and daemons of Chaos ran passed the avatar.

Soon Ixion/Tzeentch started to move forward as well, with all three weapons ready, as he craved the souls of Boris and Katarina, such strong souls would be delicious for the Architect of Fate, and in truth his brothers felt the same and were a tad bit envious, as Tzeentch by pure luck has had the most enjoyment in battle, out of all of them.

As they two forces clashed again, and the war resumed once more, with both side bolstered and eager to kill the other.

Meanwhile on a airship far away from the battle...

(Malakai Makaisson POV)

Location Outside of the Northwestern Borders of Kislev, the Deck of the Spirit of Grungni

What the name of the bloody Ancestors, has happened!!?

One moment me and me crew were still a couple days away from entering Kislev, and joining all the mayhem that was happening down there, the next I was watching as a giant eyeball of fire was hell, it was literally burning the sky with that weird Chaos magic.

I really need a pint right now, as the air turned cold again, just a moment it was almost blazing hot, and we weren't even close to whatever the bloody eye was!!

I turn me head, and saw many of my crew scrambling around as confused and razzled as I, even if me ship is one of kind and the fastest thing to soar through the skies of the Old World, there was no way it could have arrived into the lands of Kislev, this quickly.

Damn sorcery and ungi shit!!!

Sighing, I got me bearings and steered the ship to the horizon were that weird eye once was in the sky, at least it served as a marker to where this fight was happening, that was a good thing.

As I turned the wheel, a pirate slayer, came up to me holding a pint, as I heard him say, "Here lad. Looks like you need one." I took the pint he offered, and thanked him.

Nodding his head, he left me with my drink, as I swung down the mead, I felt me nerves calming down at last.

Ahhhh, I really needed that, aside from this ungi creep show, at least this meant that the fighting wasn't over, so me and me crew can still join in on the fun, ha!!

I felt like meself again, and excited to take on this Chaos punks, ohhh ancestors please let this be the place where I find me death, and finally purge this shame from me bloodline name.

I yelled out, "Get ready lads, the fight is coming earlier than expected!! Man, everything and speed up the ship, unless no of ye want to fight?" they responded with a nay, and got back to their stations and make sure things were in top shape.

All right ye damned Chaos bastards, here we come!!!

(Author Note: I made the Occularous Infernum, performing this time burning thing to allow me, to bring the other order forces earlier, cause I realized it would take a lot more chapters, than should be needed. And in some instances this spell would be consider OP, but in 40k time disruption caused by something/one happens every other Tuesday, so it stands to reason that Tzeentch's magical and psyker powers would cause this on a low-powered level world, like Warhammer Fantasy. That's all and I hope u'll enjoy the rest of the chapter.)

(General POV)

Location Kislev, Northern Oblast: Edge of the Corrupted Tzeentchian Lands of the Dark Legion, Battlefield; Dark Legion vs. Kislev

As the fighting started back up, the Changer was killing all his way, as he made his way straight at the Ice Queen who was fighting various marauders, Chaos knights, beastmen, and daemons that sought to kill her, but he spoke through Ixion, "ENOUGH!!! She is mine, back away..." hearing his command, all the forces that were once engaged with Katarina, all began to back away and make way for the Chosen of the Gods to face his target.

Katarina with some minor scratches on her body, watched as the man responsible for terrorized and devastated her homeland, was walking towards her, at that moment all her fatigue and pain were gone and replaced with anger, she straighten her posture and was ready to fight.

Tzeentch and his brother saw this, and were very amused, they enjoyed that fire still burning in her eyes, and the Architect will enjoy it more once he snuffed it out, and take everything from her...her life, soul, magic, and lands, all will belong to him and forever locked in a endless cycle of Change!!

Tzeentch struck first, by using his psychic abilities to blast the ground and kick-up snow that scattered allover Katarina's face, blinding her, as Tzeentch/Ixion rushed in.

Smashing scepter onto the head of the Ice Queen, with her crown knocked off her head along with both burning and busting her head, blood dripping down her face.

Then he slashed her across the chest with his [Hellbane], then another slash on her back with the [Balewing], using a telepathic grip to straighten her body again, in order to smash the tip of his scepter to burn and also surge magic energy directly into Katarina body.

Never before had she felt such pain, or been this quickly overwhelmed in a battle, but that initial attack along with all the previous fighting she's done in this war, made her a easy opponent to face.

Tzeentch was honestly...disappointed, he'd hoped for a bit more of a challenge, but he'll still gladly take any victory, especially one with such a unexpected outcome.

Releasing both the psychic hold, and the surge of magic that he'd just attacked Katarina with, he watched as she fell onto the snow, barely able to hold onto her weapons, and blood staining her regal bluish dress.

Tzeentch decided not to do his usual routine, and changed it up, by going straight for the kill this time around.

Making Ixion point the daemonic greatsword (Hellbane) in a downward aim, to pierce the now steering Katarina, his aim to finish her with one brutal stab from her back.

But then a ferocious roar was heard, Tzeentch heard it along with his brothers to "watch out", but before he could react a great white Kislevite bear with some armor equipped, came out of nowhere and pounced onto him.

Bitting onto Ixion's lower right gauntlet arm, and dragging him down to the snow, and started to maw on him, as Katarina vision returned she saw...Urskin, her father's loyal companion, was attacking the tzeentchian Chaos Lord, which in turn saved her life.

She slowly was getting back up, when she saw a hand offered to her, looming up, Katarina, she was swelling with soo many emotions, as it was her dear father, Boris standing there, helping her like he has always done.

Taking her father's hand, he gently helped her back on her feet, then he felt her wrap her arms around his neck and hug him tightly with so much affection, he said lowly, "My child...you've grown soo strong and beautiful..." but their reunion was caught short.

When they heard the cries of pain from Urskin, his whining shrieks, catching their attention, as they saw a azure, kriss blade, sticking out his back, covered in his blood.

While fighting against Ixion, Tzeentch made one of the avatar's arm break free from the jaws of the annoying creature, and stab it from joint between the frontal left leg, thus badly wounding the beast and making it stop attacking.

Using his psychic powers, he lifted the bear off of him, annoyed by the interruption and attack, the Changer pulled out his [Hellbane] and focus his psychic might on the bear's body.

Crushing it and giving it a painful, slow death, thus it was crying and whining as it was being crushed, this made the two mortals attack, sensing their anger directed at him, he scoffed and flung the wounded and probably crippled beast, over his shoulder and blocked both attacks from father and daughter, now fighting him together.

Khorne growled in frustration, for Tzeentch has been the only one of them that has had such measure of duels, in their whole campaign, Laharl and Nurgle calmed him, and told their brother the Blood God, to enjoy the fight, and reassured him that they'll be plenty more battles and challenges, greater than what Tzeentch's facing right now for him, down the road of this conquest.

These insurances worked and calmed the Bloodstained King, as the three of them returned to watching their brother's second two on one duel.

Stuck in a three-way death lock of their weapons, the father and daughter duo pressed on to strike down their hated enemy.

But Tzeentch was no meer opponent, using some magical energy of the Lore of Lightning to cause a small current of magical electricity to surge throughout the avatar, and it weapons, which in turn, surged through both Katarina and Boris.

They were shocked, as their body spasm from the magical electricity, Boris, he fought through the pain to kick Ixion in the stomach and break the death lock and current that they were stucked in.

Some sizzling smoke came off their bodies, as Boris and Katarina recovered, as quickly as they could before returning to their battle against the Arcane Monarch.

They both straighten themselves, as their enemy was also ready to fight again, Tzeentch was actually glad for this unexpected turn of events, seems that he'll have that challenge that he'd originally craved after-all...
