On April 6th, Jiang Xuan got up early and unexpectedly discovered that the Ice Lotus planted in the pond of the courtyard had grown a leaf curled into a cylindrical shape.
It won't be long before it grows from underwater to the surface, finally unfolding into a large lotus leaf.
"Didn't expect it to actually grow. It seems this thing can grow outside the Great Swamp. I just don't know how the Ice Lotus grown here will differ from the ones of the Beaver Tribe."
Jiang Xuan knew that many plants are selective about their growing locations.
The saying goes, "An orange grown in the south of the Huai River is an orange, while one grown north turns into a trifoliate orange." Many plants are like this.
However, just being able to grow it is already very good. If the results aren't great, methods can be found to improve the growing environment in the future.
For example, digging a very deep lake to simulate the environment over by the Great Swamp.
