The Deity promises the world that although the divine position of "Redemption" is limited to Life, in these apocalyptic times, it is precious and possibly unique.
This tactic has long been used before.... in the Silent Mountain Range World, on Mercury 42, and even by a Quasi-God who traveled a long way to seize the opportunity for Ascension.
There are similar mechanisms; during "corporate turmoil," applying for "positions" becomes quite easy, especially for the roles most needed by the "company."
