Kahn and Allister now faced each other in the realm to settle their old grudges. In a way, it was just one-sided grudge in the beginning because Kahn was forced to abdicate his position as sovereign of verlassen fiefdom while needing to fake his death.
But after his supposed death, all 3 factions of the empire took a major hit, had to leave their governmental positions, and even many of their businesses and any industry they had fingers in suffered monumental losses in trillions of gold dramus.
It took them 5 years just to recover their losses, pay off any lingering debts, while managing to calm the people of the empire, just so they could get elected again, even via backhanded means such as corruption and rigging the elections.
And just when the fire had been barely put out... the root cause of it all turned out to be alive.
But not only did he just return with no fear in his eyes... he outright displayed the audacity to challenge their authority.
