Alex stared at the Grand Elder for a long time, his eyes the only part of him visible through his visor. He straightened his body and said, "You shouldn't attempt to keep me hostage. I don't deal well with people who try to keep me somewhere against my will."
He raised his blade toward the Grand Elder. "I have yet to kill anyone in the inner regions of Hell, but if you force me to, you will be the first."
The Grand Elder harrumphed. Not one of Alex's words made a dent on what he believed.
"You have already lost to us," the man said. "Do not claim that you have the strength to kill us."
Alex narrowed his eyes, looking toward everyone. "If you wish for my secret — the secret of the Elixir — come attack me. But I will warn you all, anyone who joins in on the attack will die."
Alex hoped his words would be enough of a deterrent for most of the people gathered, but instead they only laughed. The Grand Elder laughed the most of them all.
