"Sleep, I won't bother you anymore," he chuckled hoarsely, tidying up her disheveled nightgown before turning over to stand up and head to the bathroom.
Su Zixi took a long time to react.
Had this man let her off the hook again?
Beyond surprise, Su Zixi felt an unsettling unease at the bottom of her heart. She wanted to ask him, but fatigue soon overcame her, and she fell asleep once more.
When she awoke, He Jingyao was no longer by her side. Su Zixi blinked bewilderedly and then suddenly leaped out of bed, rushing downstairs.
"Where's Jingyao!" She stopped in front of Butler Lee, panting as she asked.
Butler Lee was slightly surprised by her disheveled state: "The young master has already gone to the company."
"He won't be back for lunch, will he?" Su Zixi pursed her lips.
"That's right," Butler Lee replied, nodding his head without understanding why.
"Then he'll probably be back late tonight as well..." Su Zixi murmured to herself.
